Sweet GT Turbo dude. Way too many fakes and shit ones around though. Gives the GTs a really bad image. But yours looks the business.

It'll look stockish when its finished, nest is some handling mods and then a full td04 set-up and aaround the 200-220bhp mark at 1bar,not too bad when it weights 850kgs

thats the final power goal, at the minute it has about 165ish bhp and more torque.
With just a cat back exhaust and air filter it dynoed at 137.1bhp and 165.7ft lbs of tourque so it should be up on that with the mods since

19 in may, waiting on the test.
First car was a starlet Glanza S (non-turbo),drove that for 8 mths and then bought the gt.
Believe me or not, i dont drive hard, ill admit i like accelerating at the speed limit sign :p otherwise i just use the power for passing, irelad doesnt have the roads for driving hard at all

For those who don't know so much about modifying and stuff, this car looks like a sleeper! Looks awesome, when u open the hood, people must be : OMG!
heh :P
Where the hell is the turbo mounted on these?
Also what's the reason for the top mounted IC?
Looks nice mate.
turbo is down in the bottom left area , near the bottom iirc Ash.
and the top mount is somehow better for cooling cos theres less pipework or something, or some guy told me when i asked why he had one on a Celica GT4 , and not a fmic.

Not saying I dont believe you just want to know what insurance company your with lol.

That's pretty interesting.
A lad I know replaced his sidemounted IC with a front mounted one and gained about 40 brake.
Because you're getting more air across it I guess. Strange it doesn't work the same here.
Unless it does, but it's just hassle?
probably , this guy thought he knew everything about everything though.
must have been all the training he did at halfords that made him do everything different to all the other GT4 owners.
mind you , he had a chargecooler too so i don't think there was much space
nice starlet btw dan.

Man 90% of the guys driving these around here are between 17 and 21.
A lot of people register them as standard 1.3 Starlets to get cheap insurance. Also some people use FBD insurance, its an agricultural insurance company that gives cheap quotes for cars of people from farming backgrounds and stuff.
Well that's my understanding of it anyway, could be completely wrong!

it does work the same with the starlets. one of the most common mods for the starlet is the fmic
not sure why its top mounted. i think its just easier for toyota to do, but im not sure.

Im using an Rx7tmic (uprated) mainly due to funds, the fmic cost at the bare minimum 400, and thats 400 i dont have.A fmic would be better than a standard tmic but the rx7 one isnt far of its cooling properties because it has a much thicker core.
The turbo on the starlets(ct9) is at the left down near the bottom of the engine,if you followed the EFI pipe(air filter pipe) it would lead you exactly to it.
Yeah i know a few lads off toyotagtturbo.com from ballymena:D
And as for the insurance, everything is legit, for now im insured under my fathers name(he uses the car a good bit as we work in the same place) and its just over a grand cheaper to have him on the policy than having my own.
Thanks for the comments
