Audi Quattro

You have seen the old Audi Quattro rally cars, I wanted to make this less of a radical body styling. The base image was not too good quality. As I work on +2000 pixels now, I rebrushed the entire body. Only C&P are the window frames and rims. The entire interior is brushed by me, as is all the dirt on the car.

I may have rushed it at the end but, this was started in September 2007. I hope you guys like it :)

Yeah that would be the rushing part, I kept it studio all this time and just forgot about it. Will do an update with a few other things later. :)

Only fault is the windshield and dirt is a bit random at some parts(and should make in different colors),but thats just a small thing compared to the chop!

At last, have been waiting for this for ages, and it was worth the wait. Not the most groundbreaking in design but radically realistic. Can not fault it yet (maybe in a few weeks I'll find something (except windshield refl as it has allready been mentioned.)but dirt seems a bit random, like someone actually trew dirt at it before it was photographed.
Have to love it though.

Yeah, about the dirt. It's my first time doing it. Thing is, you may think it's just a case of using a brush and just randomly painting dirt on. But no. The built up areas of dirt behind the front wheel arch and on the door, as shown in the close-up, took ages to do. Using a few different brushes, different brush sizes, opacities etc. So as it took to long, the dirt on the rest of the car was, I admit, put on randomly.

Congrats for HoF mate. Really awesome work, but it also has a few things I don't like. The hood and the interior look toony and the car is a bit to bright for this BG.

But there are also a lot of things which are veeeeery cool. The mudd....really good execution (best of this kind till now), looks very realistic. The "tapes" in front of the lights are also cool and look realistic and so on...

That's how an Advanced Showroom (now HoF) car should look like.

Was it difficult to do the mudd and how much time does it take?

I did search for mud splatter brushes but could not find any good ones. So I ended up using, mainly, the default 39 brush on PS. I admit, the mud does look kind of dry. And as I mentioned before, it took ages to do that built up area on the front corner of the door (where audi rings are).
