My first Sierra,(after having a Hinda Quintet, an Audi 100, an Opel Ascona, a buick Century a Peugeot 505gti and a Volvo 242) bought as a (cosmetical not mechanical) wreck for just over £200 and repainted, with an IS steering wheel and 6X13 wolfreace wheels with 165r13 in front and 205/50/13 in teh back. Even had a cobra-head shifter and box-speakers on the parcel shelf and a cassette player :)

So I rebuilt teh whole car again next spring, took a complete IS interior from another wreck I bought+new wheels window surrtounds a peugeot 405 wing instead of the old alfa 33 'ducktail' and a proper stereo. Replaced all the beaten up panels and got a cosworth grille too.The red car in teh background was at the time a rusted wreck I traded in for the wreck I took the interior from.

Then after a while I sold it to rebuild that red three-door IS instead. Had it welded up (lots of rust) replaced a door got a real cosworth hood of another wreck, replaced the shocks for gas ones and got a cheap lowering kit (2" all the way round)repainted had an XR4 kit and wing too in the end took aout all the sound insulation and the evrything in the 'baggage compartment(?)) ,didn't look so good after a year that either but drove like a go-kart, best car I've ever had, got 30mpg on holiday with it http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/5174/im000181zp8.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Then came the Xr4i :) and I was hooked on torque again (have had a buick stationwagon (a wreck btw, what a surprise) earlier so I know how fun real torque can be) lovely piece of machinery. Gots 15mpg drives like a Granada, but that torque makes you feel like God. Never really have to rev it further than 2000rpm when driving normally. Rev it to 3500 and your close to loose your licensa (in most of the gears except first really) Loved it even if it never drove anything like the IS. Wasa Wreck when I bought it, and had it welded for free, so I never spend nothing on it before I t-boned a Primera with it during winter.

By zykotec (http://profile.imageshack.us/user/zykotec)
then I bought back My old IS (which had went trough hell the year after I sold it as you can see), took tha parts I needed to fix the XR4i, and put the suspension on a low-mile threedoor carb'd rust-free 2,0 I bought.

Also took teh Xr4 kit and wing and put them on my new white car.Pinted all teh bits white, and got bored. Was going to tune it up, bur one of my mates who was supposed to help me OD'd and I lost interest as it was hella'slow...

then I traded it for another black XR4i instead, used the grey one for a while, bought a white station wagon cheap instead of MOT'ing the XR4i, and when spring came I scrapped the grey XR4i (after taking out everything I could use) and the stationwagon, put the black one in the garden, bought a welder and (after my brother's been nagging for years) bought a Honda...

LOL, thanks, painted with a roller in my driveway (as were all my cars)I prefer 3-doors too. The white one deffo was cleaner and in better shape than all teh others, but was a 2litre 4-speed, so slow as Fudd, did look good though...

They have always been too expensive, even a bad sapphire costs more than all those cars together in Norway....considering one now that I've got a better job though...

Ill try and dig up the pictures of my dads XR4i and XR4X4 , the 4i was lost in a head on collision with a (brand new at the time) vauxhall senator, and front end was pulled back out by tying the back to a lorry and the front to a 2.8i capri , which drove off , pulling it straight xD

must admit i am partial to the old school fords (cant you tell xD) and i will own a selection of them one day. 4i/4x4 , series 1 rst , xr2 , cosworth(s) , granada cosworth etc

Damn you've had a few cars. you must have nearly a whole car in spears!

We never had sierras in oz but they did run in some of the touring car events for a few years. Really showed up the v8s. So they got banned a long with skylines.

cheers

I agree. IF you can get them get some chrome edges for the wheels, like the ones i have on my 2002.

I would if I could, but it's just the winter tires, don't want to spend to much time and money on them. And I kinda lik e being childish, without ruining the car permanently...

got me a strutbrake and homemade cat-replacer for 30 bucks today, and my Ractive induction kit will get back on soon, as I've fixed the little holes on the underside of the alu-pipe (which is probably why it only made the car noisy and slow I hope) :D
