View Full Version : Brushing Tutorial by Martin Pliksh
This is a tutorial i found on DA by a member called Martin Pliksh http://martinpliksh.deviantart.com/gallery/
The guy has some pretty decent works of his own. I invited him to join our forums and he has given me permission to post his tutorial here, i found it quite interesting and should help some of our newer (and older) members.

after you have used the pen tool right click using the pen tool and select stroke path and make sure your brush is set to 1 and in a good colour.
i right click but it won't let me click the stroke path. do you have to be in quick mask?

when you say use the pen tool to outline the body you want then you go on to talk about your brush size...do you use your brush or your pen to do it? and if you use a pen how do you change the colour?

When using the pen tool right click and a menu will appera with options like "Fill Path" Make Selection" "define as vector mask" and one called "Stroke Path" the stroke path option will make a "path with the brush type you ahve selected in your "Brush tool" options
So if your brush tool is set to a hard-line 10px thick your path made with the pe ntool will be 10px thick.
Please PM me if you ahve any further questions
when i right click to stroke a path, the option is there but it's unclickable
i have to go into quick mask and stroke it there, come back, invert selection, chose a layer, and then fill that selection
there's gotta be a better way
