Hi guys...I really have some problems to get into 3ds max 7...I dont understand most of the tools, and so I'm asking you for a very detailed tutorial on modeling a car...blueprints are no problems...but starting with the modelisation of the hood, I think I'm using the wrong tool, because I have about 200 different segments...and I dont know what to do, because I dont find any NOOB-tutorial...

I think it's not good idea to do a car if you even don't know the tools.

First you have to learn basics, good place is http://www.pixel2life.com i think

Pixel2Life is a good place for tutorials to start you off, as Realystic said.

I kinda disagree about not starting on a car though. My first 3D project was a Ford Fiesta, granted i didn't finish it (i havent finished anything come to think of it :?) but i feel if you find a really detailed and good for a begginer car tutorial, you will learn most of the basics through that as a car has many different bends and shapes.

Personaly that worked for me but for some friends, i know they started on a basketball and firehydrants, so whatever works for you mate.

glass can be found in the architecural material or in the material list when you choose mental ray renderer, press M to get the list up, if you don't already know...

My first model was an AK made from tutorial...box modelled, didnt know about poly back then...
