Hi, ive just had an idea, i dont know how good it sounds but here:

I have noticed that the help section has become flooded with novice's who arent bothered to use stickys and 'google' to search for wht they are looking for. Most of the answers to these requests can be found using the 'search' button and looking at the various stickys that have been posted.

My main point is, people ask for help without even looking, the answers are on this forum, so im proposing the idea of having a minimum of 50 posts to request help?

Sorry if this is a stupid idea, but, i had to write it. ;)

 No offence, but that's a pretty stupid idea. They'd either have to guess how to do what they're stuck on, or post in General Chat 'til they've reached 50 posts.

EDIT: What's needed is a huge FAQ sticky. (If there already is one, I apologise, as I haven't visited the help section in years )

Yeah but how about if they looked before posting?

That wouldn't help in the popularity of this forum.

Lets just keep it as it is, ok :)

good point, but it will look after the members of this forum a little better. its not like this place is struggling for hits issit. why not look after the people that are already here, rather than trying to get more people to join.
