Toyota Corolla SR edition (MK211 spec)

Hey all,

This 'rolla is 1 of my latest.. as usual its a heavily brush project. All the mods (incl entire front :D) were brushed, except for the obvious CP mods
(i.e. trim of scissor door, wheels, cooler, splitter + minor addons etc) bottom of skirt along with the rear/side vent was primarily CP but even those
elements were customized and overbrushed.

I completed this over the few days break I had over Easter. So even tho it was a really short time frame (hence why I didn't send out wips to nobody :() it
certainly wasn't a 'quick' chop if u kno what I mean. I spent a heck of a lot of long hours straight to get this where its at.

oh & it was done for 2DMAX magazine so it was chopped in uber high 3000 x 2000 resolution so that made it predominantly a lot more
challenging to brush!

there is something thats fucked up on the eyelid on the closest headlight, a dark shape. some thing thats fuckedup. looks like tape...

and on the tires, you can see new and old tires in different colors..
the decals on the door looks slightly off too.

other than that i really cant find any mistakes.

Yeah rear wheel was actually the same image as the front wheel :? :P like TR said how he had
the same prob with his latest work, I too couldn't find a decent 'set' either so had to settle
with a single wheel image and go from there

Glad to hear you all like the design, I felt the orig really needed an emphasis in shape and
definition (as typical of all factory stock cars nowadays) so i aimed for a more aggressive
street presence (as per usual of my pref tuner style), but this time with a slight rally influence..

Like I said before I think U are one of the best choppers around, your progress is incredible, keep it up.

I don't even want to look at that work, stare and find the mistakes - who cares, overall look is maginificent, too complicated design of the front part (bumper) for me but it's matter of taste - great work.

I really hate corollas from the bottom of my heart (they're everywhere! it's getting
scary :shock:), but I have to admit this looks awesome. That bumper and skirt are both insane!

It's kinda weird... Gary always seems to point out the stuff I'm going to comment on, in
this case the rear wheel. The rim is all good but perhaps bring that mofo out a bit? (unless
this is more of a FWD drag racing car, in which case, I apologize xD).

Some of the details are just outrageous, just look at them the eye-lids and the duck tape (I assume?) :lol:
Sick work on the interior details/decals too! Not a huge fan of the big side intake though.
Would look better on a slightly lower, sleeker exotic. For some reason I ain't feeling it on
a Corolla.. might have something to do with the shape? (heh. just a matter of taste!)


Oh... and I don't have anything against this being moved to HoF.

I think this an awesome piece. Working in those
high resolutions really does pay off in the end.
Makes the end result very crisp, and more real
than the the usual resolutions. The kit and finish
are really high quality. It's quite convincing. As
Iac said, maybe it is a tad complicated, but it is
done SO well. Doing a silver car really worked out
to your advantage. I like all the little details.
The speed tape, gauges/wires...all great.

There are only 2 minor issues
that bother me a bit. The rear wheel seems really
tucked, almost more than the front. And for those
who have bright screens (like me), they can see
bits of the original tires behind the new ones.

All been said, nothing much more to add besides the fact that its a pure stunner from you...level of detail is crisp, and realistic. All major mistakes have been said and pointed out, but i do see some perspective issue in the hood intake, maybe because of the angle, but it looks a tad more to the right than needed, makes it looking off centered...another area which isnt so much of a mistake but an opinion, the small intakes that join carbon wing with the kit could of been done darker, i do recognize that you tryed to show that theres an opening but it looks a stange at glance...anyway amazing work, love the style, keep at it...(the "minors" are screwed :lol: .)

It really does mean alot to know that alot of you guys believe it is HOF
worthy, all of your kind words make me even more proud to chop and
keep striving to step it up as much as I can each time
