Making it "impossibile" will lead to us not being able to use the word 'you' in general...

Well, it don't annoy me at all.

But, i'm sure the BB code will be in one of the phpbb files, just take it out. :)

Everyone goes on about it, but it doesn't bother me.
Its just personalises people's messages.
I don't find anything wrong with it..
Maybe you could just ban

the phpbb files can be set up so that the [ you ] code displays whatever it is told to display.
ie. at the moment it says '[you:0fd4e3474c]' , but it could be set so it says anything - for example it could say 'the person that wrote this is a prick and has just tried to use the code'

alternatively the [ you ] word could just be changed to a different word and eventually somebody will write something that includes that word and discover it again.
