Hey there.

I am supposed to be creating a website for my dad in which it will sell electronic ebooks to do with his company. I thought "meh, this shouldnt be too hard" and guess what.. I am confuzzled.

I designed a page in photoshop, then spliced it.. saved all the buttons into my directory.. great i am on a roll. I open a blank document in Dreamweaver.

I clicked page properties, clicked tracing Image and got my design up. Now.. this is where i am going to start acting thick (which i cannot help, because I am  ) I saved the html file (index.html) and viewed it.. cannot see the tracing image.. is this because all it is used for to get your images in the correct position?

Also.. trying to add the buttons to the site, ones I have made.. i can get them on the page, but can I hell position them where i want! I have been told not to use frames, because they are old skool now and search engines dont spider them, and thats the opposite to what I want, therefore I am told to use "tables" I have read numerous tutorials but am non the wiser!!. Once I have done one website.. i know i will be able to do it time and time again... so if there is anyone that is familiar with dreamweaver (perhaps pete?) could you give me a hand or pointers.. would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Ok thanks guys, these should keep me going. If it was my own site I would take my time and eventually figure it out, but my dads a bit pushy

rgr that man, tables should only be used for tabular data, you know, like a bundle of figures ;)

Learn CSS man (http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp) or Employ a proper web designer (http://www.100shadesofgrey.com)
