View Full Version : Suzuki Wagon R [NOM]

Howdy, it's me again.

First of all, happy new year! (hope ya'll had a great christmas too)

Haven't posted anything in ages (I'm really sorry bout that), but I finally had the courage to show you my latest creation XD
As you might have noticed it's a Suzuki Wagon R (euro version to be precise, also badged as an Opel/Vauxhall Agila). I actually wanted a
JDM Wagon R, but couldn't find any high-res pics at decent angles so I had to settle for this. It started off with a black Veilside(?)
Aristo/GS bumper, and to my surprise it looked quite good... and well, that's how it started. As you can see I ended
up making it completely black *sigh*

Erm... well, I went for the traditional Japanese "K-Car" -look (yes I know... ANOTHER weird Japanese van thingy).
I've done some totally different chops since I posted my last VIP chop, so for me, starting on this felt kinda fresh.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the "box culture", check out the pics I attached XD. Proper cuteness I tell thee.

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2590/kcars1fh.th.jpg (http://img440.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kcars1fh.jpg)

Back to the chop. It's obviously a mixture of copy/paste and brush. I have no idea how many donors I've used for the side
panels alone, my guess is about 15 (totally different) pics (most of which I brushed over *sigh*). There was a lot of brushing involved too; the roof, the pillars,
both arches, roof spoiler, handles, most of the front bumper(!?), rear bumper and the skirt among other things. Pretty much everything
using c&p was modified too, the bonnet is a good example. Took a lot of brushing/blending and tweaking to get it right (I'm deffo not 100% pleased with it, but I'll never be XD).

The rims are also kinda interesting. I knew I wanted some Work Eurolines, but finding high-res pics of this particular model was NOT easy.
I ended up combining several (lower-quality) pics and then re-brushing the reflections. Actually turned out OK IMO.

I know some of the reflections are really random and there are probably some rough/blurry areas. Seriously though,
after spending close to two months on this chop I'm kinda tired of it. Anyway... Just let me know if you find any major mistakes,
might fix em if I can be arsed ;)

Oh, I'd also like to thank all of you who received WIPs and stuff. Seriously... love you all http://digimods.e-visionit.co.uk/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif

w00t finaly u posted somthing  now finish the other 100:ed chops u got and post them to !

superb brushing/c/p:ing x) bg suits perfect , so does rims and the hole style of the bodywork . only foult i can see (IMO) is that the reflections on the rims doesn´t mach the reflections on the side of the car ... and it might just be that my screen is to bright but it seems like a part of the tire is missing on the bottom of the rear wheel :P

beside that its just another of ure hof:ish looking chops

Love u too  / johan

Is that real or WHAT! 8)

You remember what I thought about this when I saw this.
One word sums it up still - "smooth"

I can hardly fault this at all.
Maybe the black blotch at the bottom of the rear tire.
Other than that, its so cool.

I have to say, that's fucking outstanding. Funnily enough I just looked through your HoF LS430
and Rick said there something like you should finish your projects and post'em in Advanced.
Absolutely agreed and here it is- loving it in all aspects. Here we go..
First thing is you got some freaking amazing style, I love it when two different
styles are mixed together like Concept&Race, yours seem to be Vip&Discreet.
Second thing, it stunned me the 3rd time when looking at your chops. 1st one was
the 407, second one the LS430/Celsior and the third one- you can guess.
And last, but not least- third thing is your chops aren't "lyk z0mfg", means they
convince because of style+technique. AND as said, clean as fuck.
Never any major mistakes, pure realism. Something like enjoyment when looking at them.
Sorry for that "Off-Topic", it's boring just to say something about the chop so I use
this topic for some general sentences about your work. Wanted to get rid of it.. xD
Oh, enough of the gossiping.

In general I kinda dislike those blurry reflections, that's just some flavour thing I guess.
They'd look better sharpened IMO, but you already said that.
And sure the whole look would be better, if the rims were tad darker OR the side
brighter, just some playing around the light settings so..
Just two opinion-based facts, nothing bad.
The side skirt could require some overbrushing just because of the quality.
Love the color, grille is awesome to look at. Speechless of the kit design,
it's hard to describe what amazes me but seriously I'd like to see that Agila ( ..hey,
I'm German, Suzukis are rare here so it's Opel for me. ) styled that way in real!
Car is blended in the background perfectly, love those little details.
( slop reflection, lightning effects etc. )
And your name sign shouldn't be that sharpened! jk.. :|

I better stop staring at it now, fascinating every time I look at it more. ;)
My comment took tad longer, but it's due an amazing piece of art.
Congrats man, you're worthy of being an Advanced Member! Keep it up..
Aaah, btw. I'm in favour of saying Hall of Fame to this one. Reasons are above.
Have a good 2006!

my first impression was "hey, it looks like an opel agila",
just like stuffi said. what coincidence under germans.

in my eyes the chop looks very good and on the first look
it seems really to be real.
i like that not too aggresive and kinda noble style.
it's worth to have a place in the advanced showroom.
very cool thing :)

Two words.

I. MMENSE.

But seriously, I'm actually shocked, surprised, and even frightened that more of you haven't said hall of fame, because IMO this is a fucking AWESOME chop! :D It's extremely realistic, the style is amazing, the colour change and reflections are perfect, and if you don't like the style, you have to at least appreciate the work that was involved with all the brushing.

Top notch man, definately HOF to me. :)

That's cool as f*ck! I know black is very difficult "color" to work with, but you
managed to make it look good. ;) I'm very impressed! Style is also one thing
I'm beginning to like very much (mainly thanks to your amazing VIP chop and
all ;) ).

Anyway, awesome work once again from you! Love it! :P
