brill...youve definetely pulled of the clean look you was after.
But imo, i think you should add a tiny little bit of colour somewhere. But thats just my opinion :)
Hi,
I know you wanted to go for a clean style, but, i think it's just too clean, could do with a little colour ;)
Also, i think the nav would be better on the left...
Why?
Well, Most people in the world, read left to right (as you know), so, therefore, if the nav is on the left, it would be the first thing they would see...(they do this in films to make people stand out ;))
But, the main thing is, you want people to see your Nav...
Just a point from a design perspective... ;)

LOL. It's not my site, just the portfolio of some lady selling nice
retro posters in GER. I'm happy you like that style, too! :D
Very clean and neat look, loving the black/white-contrast.
That's also why the girl suits very well in it!
Maybe try to point out THIS contrast more, some black
stripes around the navigation bar, content box etc.
That header is tad too clean, like said maybe refresh
it with stripes, they don't have to be colored, black would be perfect.
Also, that seperation between content and navigation box
should either go from footer up to the header or be more soft.
That'd suit "the future is sleek".
Keep us informed when you'll have been finished the page.
If you'd like to go more with the retro-style, use this font. It's sexy! :o

Then, maybe bring in some colors ( orange/dark red/ beige ).
But that's all just if you want to relaunch it later.
I really like your website design, keep it up!
Thanks alot lads for your great comments, they helped alot hopefully it will be complete by tomorow :D
thanks for the font stuffi mate ;)
Mark.

Im going to be critical on this.. but thats what you've posted it here for :P
To me, the site is way to small. Your not going to be able to fit much in. If i saw it on a black page, it would appear to be quite boring / dull. There is no colour! It definatly would benifit from some colour, as black and white is just too boring. Even just alittle, to break it up.
I also agree about the navigation, try it on the left, the post it up, see which one is the better one.
Try putting some subtle gradients in, the flat colour adds to the 'dullness' feel i think.
Look foreward to any updates :D
